I made a request on TikTok, so why haven't you made my painting yet?

If you requested a painting with specific colors on TikTok (or IG, or FB) I may or may not get to your painting.  In the beginning, I was noting down every request and trying to paint them all, but that quickly became unmanageable as the requests flooded in and my business has grown.  I still paint requests as I can, but priority goes to custom orders and requests are painted in order received, when I have time.  I usually have a queue of 50+ requests, and I only post two videos per day, so it could be awhile.  If you really want to see your painting soon, please place a custom order, as those are moved to the front of our painting schedule. 

 

What is the difference between a custom order and making a request on TikTok?

A TikTok request is just that, it's a request.  I work through my requests as time (and supplies) allow.  I will pick the canvas size and choose the specifics shades of your requested colors based on what I think looks best (for example, if you request blue, green and white I may paint with navy blue, neon green and pearl white).  Those paintings are then listed on the site and are available for anyone to purchase.  The listings are not reserved for the requestor.

On the other hand, a custom painting is all yours.  You choose the exact shades of paint, whether you want one that is full-coverage marble effect or a lesser-coverage splatter effect, and your canvas size.  You pay for the painting when you place your order, and we ship it to you as soon as it's dried and sealed.  Custom orders are always placed at the front of our painting schedule (and yes, we'll still record a video of it being painted, just like we do the TikTok requests). 

 

I placed a custom order, when can I expect to receive my painting?

First, thank you so much for your order!  Each and every one truly makes my day. I paint 3-4 days a week, so it's safe to say that your painting will be completed within one week of your order being placed.  (If it's going to be longer, for any reason, we'll let you know!). Shipping can take an additional 3-5 business days, as well.  All of that said, if you haven't received your painting within 14 days of placing your order, please email me at hello@secondbasedesigns.com so we can look into it.
